Hey guys! I'm Joshua in Mississippi.
I'm 41 years old. I'm a licensed Airframe & Powerplant mechanic/IA with 25 years of flying experience and 21 years of maintenance experience with a focus in avionics modifications and instrument panels in pre 90's piston aircraft. Total interior removals and reinstallations headliner to carpet and nose to tail have been a major part of my work including minor alterations, but I'm ready to add custom interior fabrication to my capabilities list.
I have purchased a walking foot machine and enrolled in the all-in-one course. I have some very light experience with box store fabric machines and home hobby projects with cloth fabrics for Halloween costumes, but other than that I am coming into this mostly ignorant and green.
As I'm learning the craft I intend to use these forums for help and as a journal of my progress from the practice seams in the apprentice course to when I can start taking commissions.
I'm really excited to have found this community!
Thank you John! I'm really enjoying the videos.
Best regards,
Joshua
