Hi everyone, I am a complete amateur (Australia), attempting to recover a set of dining chairs. The seats are very low profile and the original foam has crumbled completely so I can’t tell what was originally used. Can anyone advise me on thickness and density of foam that I need to buy for the seats. I really want to keep that sleek low profile look. The backs are ok with their existing foam so I don’t have to worry about that. Also I’m not using vinyl this time, any tips for maintaining the saddle type curve of the seat when using fabric? All advice or recommendations gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
