I have a small run of leather sewing to do. Total stitch length will be about 4 feet. I wanted to try to run it on an old 12 stitch machine I have to avoid having to hand stitch it all. I was planning on using #69 thread on an #18 needle. Leather is 3oz cow hide. Seems like it should run however I really don't want to mess up the timing on this machine. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.

Watch the demo video on youtube about this machine. The one I watched, the guy was sewing 4 layers of chap leather. Seemed to handle it okay.
