I did a trial run on my first ever auto seat using some inexpensive vinyl. We are building a 1957 Bel Air Station wagon and it originally had a bench seat in the front. I want bucket seats with a console. We have spent soooo much money on the car already that I didn't want to buy new seats, and happened to be on Craigslist and found these bucket seats for $30. I figured what do I have to lose, so I bought them and I think they are going to work. We have the frame done. We hope to have the body work done and to start painting be the August. Here are the before and after of the seat.

Wow!! Looks like you did a terrific job on that seat! Congratulations!

Now all you have to do is figure out how to add wheels, motor, body, etc. to that chassis. :)

It is a bit overwhelming, there hundreds and hundreds of parts and pieces. We took LOTS of photos when we tore it down so hopefully we can get it back together.
