Don't have one of my own but i did get to set up a 3 thread for a customer this week. Lot of fun to play with, stupid fast and buttery smooth. Don't have much use for a serger...but i need one
I bought a 3 thread inexpensive one and it's been good for my needs when working with coarse woven fabric that doesn't have a back coating. I only use it for overcasting edges not for construction which is common for garment sewing.
