Hallo people from the Lucky Needle upholstery forum!

I hope everybody is doing great and making nice projects and is happy about it!

at the moment im busy whit a Ford F250 pick up truck! most of the work is going owkay but got some issues here and there!

im busy whit floremats, i can´t get the vinyl nice around the corners nicely! its pulling a lot like its to tight... causing wrinkeling in the carpet! already put a rubber backing behind the carpet for extra support!
Also did some releave cuts ofcourse, it´s not working...
I sew the vinyl on the carpet at 0,31 inch 8 mm in european....

also did some embroidery whit my tajima embroidery machine! loving it...

can anybody give some advise!

the next thing i can try is a motorcycle vinyl whit more stretch i think...
maybe some other suggestions

i put some foto´s so you can see!

I’m not sure what you are using on the edge but it’s way easier with a binding that’s made on the bias so it flexes on the corners. It looks like you are shooting for a double fold binding style with vinyl? A single fold binding will be far more compliant around curves.

I use a lot of gross grain binding and use a binding attachment… Ive have had to develop a few techniques to do tight turns without the attachment, it’s slow and painful to get a decent job until you can get the hang of it.
