Buy a yard of pvc or faux leather and a yard of tack strip or try to reuse the original. Do one back and put it back on, all you will need for tools are scissors and a rubber mallet. If you decide to buy 15 yards of material, a roll of tack strip, thread, a button maker and staple gun you just have ...
I have been wondering what was the first manufacture of a sewing machine? This dates back a long time and I wonder how they got to the designs they did.
@Redcoat , being an upholsterer I would send these to a furniture upholsterer myself. This means I would not touch them but @Rhonda would I bet.
@WILD BILL , spot on and billing $135.00 hr barely makes it.
@Ron Henningsen , that is an interesting approach. I am afraid I am seeing a $10.00 per hour job at the end of all this for that coupe, chalk it up to a learning experience. It is so hard to charge friends and family once the job is done.
@Sporty45 , you must have a furnace down there. I would be looking at non flammable adhesives.
@klackey28 , best thing to ask yourself is what you want paid per hour after about $6.00 an hour to run stuff out of your small shop.
I appreciate the feedback.
@rhonda, It is a foam to foam, fabric to foam adhesive that needs to breathe to cure. I was going to try it but do not feel it has the industrial power I need.
@Sporty45 , all I can say is I work in cold and my adhesive is thicker than in the summer and dry times are the same. You should be using non flammable adhesive. Where are you in the country?
@LLeeT , I agree with this helps us make wise purchases.
@Erin Alex , English Pub is way to thick a vinyl for your seating. Allante has that grain if you can get it.
@Revv Up , that was funny
Often dead wrong too.
@Revv Up , you have good service from them. What is the brand of that motor?
@Sporty45 , the adhesive has to flash, when you see it has flashed then you can make contact with both pieces.
Small pulley seems like a first step
Great feedback thank you. I have been a use your clutch motor guy but this one is way tooo fast.
Anybody use this stuff?
I am looking to put a Servo Motor on my Juki LU 563. I find this clutch motor too fast on this machine. I am looking at what is the best option for this machine.
I agree it's usually not a problem but on occasion[…]
